Congratulations, Rubylee!

Team,

I am excited to announce that Rubylee Gardner, our Business Applications Specialist at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, took a HUGE step this past week by competing the 1st portion of her CompTIA A+ certification training.

This Information Technology certification serves to validate her skills while providing her with training to better understand advancing technologies, gain problem-solving skills and be even more productive and effective.

Please join me in congratulating her for completing the 1st part of her CompTIA A+ certification training and passing the exam with FLYING colors. Take a moment to cheer her on as she goes on to complete the 2nd phase of the training to become a Certified IT Technician.

One Team – One Goal,
Bryan Ryals

Since We Last Met

Since we last appeared on your screen, VBCC has been busy finishing up Liberty Tax’s Annual Convention and a Custom Auto Show over the weekend.

Nearly 4,000 people came to see these custom modify street cars.
3
Preparations are well underway for Delta’s
4
Lavon Wiggins, Vick and William Wheaton are busy preparing for Deltas. Lavon continues to pass on his knowledge as he prepares for retirement this summer. He’ll be missed.

6
Most of the chairs are down in Hall B, now to build the stage
7
Our partners at Distinctive Gourmet are taking a much needed day off. Several thousand new glasses arrived while they were away. They’ve also put a truck and driver on the road to borrow some plates from a sister unit in support of back to back meals later this week.
8
Whitlock’s Dave Orr always has a smile. He’s finalizing the AV set up for United Way’s Luncheon before we bring Deltas in house.
9
Barbara putting the finishing touches on GBT, the daily routine that keeps VBCC looking good. Glass is obvious. Any guesses what B&T represent?
10
Juan Davila, Jackie Owens and Jim Shampoe. Keeping VBCC carpet clean is a team effort.
11
Wilonda Spratley on the business team reconciling the weekend’s ticket sales. Did we mention she’s going to be looking for someone new to join her in the soon to be emptied seat next to her?
12
Jill Sabourin verifying time sheets so we can invoice. She collects VBCC’s loot, well, technically, Accounts Receivable. Among other things, Jill is the chief of smiles on the business team.
