Virginia Beach CVB Meetings and Conventions team member Lisa MacArthur traveled to Kansas April 9-11, 2018. During that trip she attended Meeting Professionals International Kansas Chapter Educational Event on April 10, 2018 in Lenexa, KS.
The day was spend learning, networking, and receiving updates from industry partners like American Airlines, Maritz, Visit Kansas City, and more. 
The M&C Team recently attended and sponsored a “Destination Showcase” at the annual Experient Envision partner event in Detroit.
Todd and Lisa made a presentation to 45 National Experient planners and sourcing agents in addition to having nearly 40 individual appointments during the 3-day conference.
The new perspective message was well received as well as the chance to win a VB Beach Cruiser!
The M&C Team and Hotel Partners recently traveled to Washington D.C to make a Destination Presentation to the DC Office of Experient, Inc.,
VBCVB team and partners Coleen Briley, PHR Hilton Oceanfront and Kim Law, Holiday Inn N. Beach provided a “lunch and learn” for about 15 account managers and placement reps. The DC Experient office manages hundreds of meetings annually!
The M&C Team conducted a Chicago Sales Mission this week!
Lisa and Todd conducted sales appointments with notable organizations like Common – IBM Users Group, The American Veterinary Medical Association, The Association of Nutrition and Food Service Professionals, the International Sanitary Supply Association all of which have opportunity for Virginia Beach. And the finale was a presentation and lunch for the Chicago Experient Office which manages many meeting organizations and group business!
Lisa and Sally created a Fun Coffee break in Kansas with one of Virginia Beach’s top accounts!
The Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has been selected as a 2017 Smart Meetings Platinum Choice Award winner. The Platinum Choice Awards serve as a benchmark for premier hotels, venues, and CVBs, and is a valued tool and resource for the meeting planner community.
Following nomination by meeting planning professionals and a thorough review, the Smart Meetings editorial team hand-selected Virginia Beach as a 2017 winner.
Nationwide recognition of this accomplishment will take place in December when the Virginia Beach CVB will be included in the Smart Meetings Platinum Awards press release, which has a target audience of thousands of national meeting industry professionals.

The M&C support team at the Oceanaire for the Diamond Resorts open house on Thursday, October 5th.
Please be aware that we must discontinue our use of Ungerboeck at the TOWNE BANK BUILDING by the close of business on 10/10/17.
Our EBMS data will be delivered to Simpleivew by 9am EST on 10/11/17.
This will give them ample time to complete the final data import prior to our on-site training scheduled to take place during the week of 10/16/17.
