Attached is a photo of some goslings and their parents. They were born along the banks of the Virginia Beach Sports Center pond about two weeks ago.

 

Vice Mayor Jim Wood presented a resolution, at City Council this past Tuesday, for all staff that assisted in the City’s vaccination clinic. Stella Salyer and Heather Vickers were on hand to accept for the CVB. Thank you to everyone who assisted the City with this massive endeavor. Nearly 125,000 shots were administered!

Jamie Mitchell recently attended the Association Executives of North Carolina (AENC) Spring Conference in Pinehurst, NC.  It was the first in-person meeting for the group since January 2020!

Jamie Mitchell recently attended the Independent Planners Education Conference (IPEC) in Louisville, Kentucky. A total of 22 appointments were conducted with planners.

 

While there, Jamie got to connect with Cleo Battle, former VP of the Richmond CVB. Cleo will be taking over as President & CEO of the Louisville CVB on July 1.

Some members of Marcomm volunteered for the Keep It Beachy Clean event at the Surf & Rescue Museum on 24th Street.

It’s National Volunteers Week and the Visitor Center wants to recognize our amazing volunteers – Anne Maher, Arlene Ingram, Regina Oswalt and Ed Salomonsky!

They are an important part of the VIC team!  They are great ambassadors of Virginia Beach and always there to help us.  We are very lucky to have these wonderful volunteers!!  Thank you for your dedication and for all that you do for the Visitor Center and the City of Va Beach!!

Dee Mittman had her first official day in the office on Friday, April 9^th! The M&C Sales Team in town was happy to welcome her!

Members of Team VB took a stunning tour of the completely new Delta by Marriott on the Bay! It is a WOW-ZER!! A definite must-see and must sell!

There was a nice sunrise this morning at the Virginia Beach Convention Center for the start of another Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic day. I just wanted to share. As of yesterday, the City of Virginia Beach was projected to have administered 100,000 shots, with many of those coming through the Convention Center. 😊
