- Where were you born and where is your hometown? I was born in Elizabethtown, KY while my dad was stationed in Fort Knox. I grew up In Apex, NC, but moved to Virginia Beach in 1982, and I’ve been here ever since.

- How many years have you worked for the City of Va. Beach? 10 years
- What is the best vacation you’ve been on? We went to Paris, France and Barcelona, Spain two years ago. I absolutely loved every minute of it.
- What is your favorite thing to do in the wonderful City of Virginia Beach? I love renting ocean view beach houses in Sandbridge and relaxing. I also like visiting the farms down in the Pungo area of Virginia Beach and getting fresh grown produce.

- Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us: I graduated from college (Norfolk State University) last year on my 49th It was a goal I had been wanting to achieve for a while.
- What do you like to do for fun? Reading, spending time with my kids and grandson.
- What is one thing you cannot resist? Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.
- What is on your bucket list? Take a vacation at an all-inclusive resort.
- What is your hidden talent? It’s not really hidden, most people know that I am an awesome cook.
